The Group is a wholly separate, standalone volunteer-led charity (Charity number sc032273), affiliated with “Headway”- (the National Brain Injury Association), that aims to support all people in the Grampian area affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), raising awareness of the condition and reducing the social isolation often experienced by people affected by ABI.
Membership of group is free and anyone involved with brain injury is welcome to join.
Our main aims are to :-
- support carers and enable them to meet together to share experiences
- involve those with a brain injury helping them to maximise their recovery.
- reduce social isolation for the brain injured, family and carers.
- support and sustain relationships between carers and cared for.
As a small local charity (registration number sc032273),we are always grateful to any voluntary organisations, businesses, grant aid funding organisations and of course the many individuals who donate and/or do charity sponsorship events on our behalf donating funds raised that help us continue to meet our aims & objectives. Thank you.
